Back in that strangely symbolic mid-century modern dentist’s chair, redesign would have started the very moment I dropped my shoulders and let my son’s safety lead.

Over the last few weeks, we’ve been talking about our own regulation being the only real ground we have while the systems around us crumble.

And how crummy and confusing it all feels to be in it.

I mean, we can try to push change through a dysregulated system.

But in my experience, it usually turns into a shit show. (The kind that leaves marks.) And as some of you may know, that push energy just exacerbates collapse, leaving you burnt out.

Now, it’s one thing to understand this with your head.

And another to practice it in real time (when the crumbly shite hits the fan).
